Football Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 48-6 loss at the hands of the Castro Valley Trojans. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Castro Valley found their leader in sophomore Jessica James, who picked up a sack and made five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Castro Valley, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Fremont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leadership at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Castro Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 19-6 win against Encinal on the 11th.
