Football Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Liberty

Centennial faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The contest between the Coyotes and the Lions didn't end well, with the Coyotes falling 30-14. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Stevens, who threw for 203 yards and one touchdown. Jayden Sanchez handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
