Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scholars Academy). They came out on top against the Cardozo Judges by a score of 7-3 on Friday. The win continues a trend for Scholars Academy in their matchups with Cardozo: they've now won three in a row.

Anthony Tedesco was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Eric Abreu was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Scholars Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Cardozo, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Scholars Academy and Cardozo could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings.
