After a string of 12 wins, Edmond North's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broken Arrow Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-43 back in December of 2024.

McKenzie Mathurin was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-9 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine boards for Broken Arrow. Mathurin's evening made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taryn Jacobs, who posted four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Edmond North's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-5. As for Broken Arrow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Edmond North and Broken Arrow should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Edmond North will square off against Charles Page at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 173 places (12 vs. 185). Edmond North will be looking to keep their 14-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. Meanwhile, Broken Arrow (ranked sixth) will meet Jenks (ranked 146th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
