Softball Game Preview: Highline Pirates vs. Bellevue Wolverines

The Highline Pirates will challenge the Bellevue Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Highline has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Highline is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sammamish just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 17-4 to the Totems.

Interlake hit Bellevue with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bellevue saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Kelley, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Highline's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bellevue, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
