Washington County is a perfect 6-0 against Shawnee since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Commanders will head out to challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Shawnee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Washington County, who comes in off a win.

Washington County will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 13 points back in September, then bounced right back against Thomas Nelson last Friday. The Commanders blew past the Generals, posting a 42-6 victory. Considering the Commanders' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Shawnee challenged Lexington Christian on Friday. The Golden Eagles took a blow against the Eagles, falling 46-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Shawnee now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Washington County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Washington County against Shawnee in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 win. Will the Commanders repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
