Football Game Preview: Brandon Bulldogs vs. Petal Panthers + How To Watch

The Brandon Bulldogs will take on the Petal Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brandon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Northwest Rankin, who was ranked 25th at the time (Brandon was ranked sixth). The Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 3-0 shutout last Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Petal hadn't done well against Oak Grove recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 28-21 win over the Warriors.

Petal's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Brandon, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Brandon against Petal in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 39-10 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
