Soccer Recap: Irvine Takes a Loss

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Margaret's Tartans. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Vaqueros couldn't quite close it out.

Irvine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-2. As for St. Margaret's, they pushed their record up to 6-4-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Irvine has already played their next game (against Sage Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Margaret's will host Laguna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
