The Beaver Local Beavers will face off against the United Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Beaver Local turned things around against East Liverpool on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Potters. That looming 8-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Beavers yet this season.

Paxton Grimes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Beaver Local is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-12 otherwise. Grimes was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask United). They never let Southern get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Like Beaver Local, United also got a great game from a two-way player: Kadin Schonauer. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Schonauer has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, United got a massive performance out of Cavan Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Quentin Taylor was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
United kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern only managed one hit.
United's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beaver Local, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
Beaver Local couldn't quite finish off United in their previous matchup back in April and fell 5-3. Can the Beavers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
