The Southern Valley Eagles were not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of Overton by a score of 65-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Southern Valley saw an underclassman step up: Isaac Hamilton scored 27 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamilton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kody Collins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.

Overton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock McCarter out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braden Fleischman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Southern Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Overton, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Southern Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Overton, they will head out on the road to challenge Loomis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 52.09 points so far this season, Overton's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Loomis better be ready for a challenge.
