Recap: Ascension Christian vs. GEO Next Generation Tigers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Assumption, Ascension Christian were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-34 win over GEO Next Generation. For Ascension Christian, this counts as revenge for the 36-23 loss GEO Next Generation walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ta'Coya Batiste, who scored 12 points.
The win got Ascension Christian back to even at 3-3. As for GEO Next Generation, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Ascension Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Covenant Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for GEO Next Generation, they will head out on the road to face off against Broadmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Broadmoor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
