Softball Recap: Andrews Takes Down Canyon in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Andrews had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canyon Eagles, sneaking past 10-8. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lauren Cordova was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kenedi Holly, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Andrews' victory bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 22-12-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Andrews beat the Eagles by a score of 12-6 later that day.
