Baseball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Park Scots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 25-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

As for Highland Park, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8-2 record. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the match before.

For Highland Park's part, Mason Foxford was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The Scots are undefeated when Foxford posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-8-2 otherwise.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Highland Park beat Southeast by a score of 15-6 later that day.
