The Holly Springs Golden Hawks will face off against the Middle Creek Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Holly Springs took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They managed a 12-8 victory over Trinity Christian. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, while Middle Creek put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Cary. The Mustangs blew past the Imps 42-0. Considering the Mustangs have won six games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Middle Creek had a senior duo take command as Jayden Spencer gained 108 total yards and three touchdowns and Tracy Harrington Jr gained 96 total yards and two touchdowns.

Middle Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Honor Paxton and Derrick Morton. Davis Prichard was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making seven total tackles.

Middle Creek's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Holly Springs, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
