Basketball Recap: Palm Beach Gardens Takes a Loss

Palm Beach Gardens was the 59-41 winner over Royal Palm Beach when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Palm Beach Gardens Gators took a 66-48 bruising from the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats on Wednesday. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

K'Nard Callendar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Royal Palm Beach, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Callendar's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Pheinyx Jenkins was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 19 points and five assists.

Palm Beach Gardens' loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Royal Palm Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Palm Beach Gardens will head out on the road to square off against Suncoast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Suncoast will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Palm Beach Gardens surely won't give up without a fight. As for Royal Palm Beach, they will welcome Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Royal Palm Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.
