Basketball Recap: Woonsocket Skates Past Achievement First Providence with Ease

Woonsocket had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 30-point drubbing they dealt Achievement First Providence on Thursday. The Woonsocket Villa Novans blew past the Achievement First Providence Falcons 49-19. The Villa Novans pushed the score to 42-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Woonsocket found their leader in sophomore Sklya Caro, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Rivera, who had nine points.

The win (which was Woonsocket's third in a row) raised their record to 6-16. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.7 points over those games. As for Achievement First Providence, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Woonsocket nor Achievement First Providence have any future games scheduled.
