Football Game Preview: Katy Tigers vs. Seven Lakes Spartans + How To Watch

Katy is a perfect 10-0 against Seven Lakes since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Katy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Seven Lakes likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Katy duked it out with Cinco Ranch last Thursday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cougars 56-28. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Cougars are ranked 229th).

It was another big night for Tremayne Hill, who rushed for 316 yards and four scores while picking up 13.2 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another rusher making a difference was CJ Watts, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Katy's run defense was locked in: Cinco Ranch could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank David Oluto-Judah for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Seven Lakes played a tough game two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Cinco Ranch, falling 42-3. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

The win got Katy back to even at 2-2. As for Seven Lakes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Katy against Seven Lakes in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
