Volleyball Recap: West Boca Raton Falls Despite Big Games from Donny Lam and Maurice Sharaby

If West Boca Raton was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. John Paul II Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Boca Raton Bulls fell just short of the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Bulls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chiefs from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, West Boca Raton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 19-25, 15-13.

West Boca Raton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maurice Sharaby, who had 11 assists and three aces, and Donny Lam, who had ten digs and two assists. That's the most aces Sharaby has posted over his last nine matches.
