Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Williams Valley walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears on Friday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kayla Hand was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Olivia Hand also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Williams Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive games.

Williams Valley's record now sits at 20-2. As for Mahanoy Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Williams Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Minersville on the 27th. Mahanoy Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
