Softball Recap: Marshfield Gets the Win

Marshfield won the last time they faced Whitman-Hanson Regional and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

The team relied heavily on Madison Adams, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Whitaker, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marshfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Marshfield's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Marshfield will face off against Duxbury at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, they will square off against Plymouth North at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
