Rafe Newton Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Ririe's Rafe Newton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Newton rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.

Ririe's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Newton and Ririe will be playing at home against Salmon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lewis Came Up Big in Ririe's 38-14 Win

Keeping Newton company is Kolter Lewis, a fellow Ririe player. He rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.

On the season, Lewis has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 122.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.

North Fremont Gets a Boost from Martin in 38-14 Loss

While North Fremont might've come up empty on Friday, Andrew Martin wasn't going down without a fight. Martin was dynamite, rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

While West Jefferson might've come up empty on Friday, Justus Burtenshaw wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Burtenshaw as he rushed for 32 yards.

Another West Jefferson player making an appearance on this list is Mac Hall. He picked up 40 receiving yards.
