Brantley County waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 48-33 win over the Bacon County Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Herons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Bacon County had strong showings from Marnay'Jah Reynolds, who posted 22 points, and Makayla Thomas, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 boards. Thomas has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played.

Brantley County's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Bacon County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thomasville the next time they take the court. Bacon County will host Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Brantley County will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
