Baseball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Avenal

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wonderful College Prep Academy). They put the hurt on the Avenal Buccaneers with a sharp 26-9 win on Wednesday. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory the Buccaneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Kristian Leal made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Leal was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. He also got three hits, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Isreal Milanes was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mark Pimental, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in six of his seven plate appearances.
