Chaparral is 9-1 against Douglas County since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Chaparral Wolverines will host the Douglas County Huskies at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Chaparral came up short against Rock Canyon and fell 55-43.

Meanwhile, Douglas County played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Highlands Ranch and fell 76-23. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-9.

Despite the defeat, Douglas County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Megan Thorne posted six points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Chaparral's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7. As for Douglas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Chaparral didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Douglas County when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory. Will Chaparral repeat their success, or does Douglas County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
