Recap: Cambridge N/A vs. Salem Generals
The Cambridge N/A's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They strolled past Salem with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. Cambridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cambridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tully Mahar led the charge by scoring 13 points. Mason MacDougall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Generals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Harrington, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiernan Haskell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Cambridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Salem, their defeat was their 17th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-14.
Cambridge will take on Tamarac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tamarac focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday. As for Salem, they will head out on the road to square off against North Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Warren Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
