Basketball Recap: Appomattox County Takes a Loss

Appomattox County was the 49-45 winner over Dan River when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Appomattox County Raiders received a blow on Friday as they fell 63-45 to the Dan River Wildcats.

Jameer Reynolds continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dan River, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Reynolds' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Watson, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Appomattox County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Dan River, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Appomattox County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-49 loss against Gretna on the 28th. Dan River has also already played their next match, a 65-50 victory against Martinsville on the 27th.
