Football Game Preview: Central Catholic Buttons vs. Long Creek Dragons

Central Catholic took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 31-23 win over St. Michael's.

Joseph Carreon was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Carreon was just one part of a punishing run game: Central Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Long Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Richland 57-16. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
