After losing to Fair Grove the last time they met, Willard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Eagles on their court since September 16, 2021.

Willard was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 19-25, 25-16.

Willard was led to victory by Kylin Vandever and Ava Simpson. Vandever had eight digs and four aces, while Simpson had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Vandever has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Willard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Willard is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-2 record this season. As for Fair Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10-3.

Coming up, Willard will face off against Neosho at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fair Grove has already played their next matchup (against Springfield Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
