Baseball Recap: Design Tech's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Design Tech blew Pinewood out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Pinewood got their revenge. The Dragons fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since March 14th.

Design Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddy Yee, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Maddox Hom was another, going 2-for-4 with one triple.

Design Tech moved to 9-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Pinewood, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Design Tech will host KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crystal Springs Uplands at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
