Baseball Recap: Arnold Takes a Loss

Arnold was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jay Royals. The Marlins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jackson Ross was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Arnold saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Moss, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Arnold's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Jay, their record is now 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arnold will welcome Marist at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marist will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Jay, they will square off against Destin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
