Soccer Game Preview: Grand Junction Central vs. Palisade

The Grand Junction Central Warriors will square off against the Palisade Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Junction Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Grand Junction Central lost 8-1 to Roaring Fork on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Grand Junction Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Roaring Fork are ranked 29th).

Grand Junction Central's goal came courtesy of William BETO Rodriguez, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Palisade came up short against Eagle Valley on Thursday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Palisade have lost by exactly two goals.

Grand Junction Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Palisade, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Grand Junction Central beat Palisade by a goal when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
