Recap: Pine Lake Prep Pride vs. Community School of Davidson Spartans
The Pine Lake Prep Pride lost against the Community School of Davidson Spartans back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pine Lake Prep was dealt a 58-15 loss at the hands of Community School of Davidson. It was the first time this season that Pine Lake Prep let down their fans at home.
When it comes to explaining why Pine Lake Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gabe Bolivar. Despite the final result, he rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown. Bolivar is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Brandon Albert was his usual excellent self, rushing for 131 yards and four touchdowns, while also picking up 179 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pine Lake Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Community School of Davidson, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Pine Lake Prep will head out on the road to face off against Burns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burns knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Pine Lake Prep likes a good challenge. As for Community School of Davidson, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. Lexington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Community School of Davidson is ranked 98th).
