Volleyball Recap: West Johnston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Johnston lost against Harnett Central on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

West Johnston took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 27-25.

Kylee McArtan paced West Johnston's offense, picking up ten kills. McArtan were helped by Paige Cabell and Aubrey Lawhorn, who contributed ten assists each.

Kailey Ellis was a one-woman wrecking crew For Harnett Central. as she had seven digs, five kills, four aces, and one block. That's the most aces Ellis has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Allie Williams, who had 18 digs and five assists.

West Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Harnett Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
