Basketball Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Takes a Loss

North Raleigh Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Academy Tigers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2020.

When it comes to explaining why North Raleigh Christian Academy lost, don't look at Khloe Moye. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, Moye is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Ella Stefansky, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, North Raleigh Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Trinity Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

North Raleigh Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-59 win against Louisburg on the 16th. As for Trinity Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Burlington Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
