Volleyball Recap: Newington Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Newington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Norwich RVT Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-15, 25-18.

Nate Parlapiano paced Newington's offense, picking up 18 kills. Parlapiano got some help from Tristan Gorman and his 35 assists. Seng Singkhamlon controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Newington pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Norwich RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Newington will take on Wolcott RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Nor'easters surely won't give up without a fight. Norwich RVT does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
