Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Springs Red Hawks vs. Wyoming Wolves

The Cedar Springs Red Hawks will head out to challenge the Wyoming Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cedar Springs will be strutting in after a victory while Wyoming will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Cedar Springs turned things around against Comstock Park on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Hawks have posted since March 31st.

Ryan Mullins was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Quinton Bell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Wyoming was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to Wayland. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Wyoming's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Cedar Springs, their win bumped their record up to 3-18.

Cedar Springs came out on top in a nail-biter against Wyoming when the teams last played back in May of 2023, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
