Butler and Rocky River combined for 27 shots on goal on Tuesday, which explains the impressive nine total goals scored. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Butler, who have now won seven contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Rocky River from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Ava LaMar led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Butler's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Rocky River, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Butler will challenge rival Charlotte Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Butler have won five straight at home, while Charlotte Catholic won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Rocky River is set to square off against their familiar foe Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
