Volleyball Recap: Serena Huskers vs. Illinois Math & Science Academy Titans
Serena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Illinois Math & Science Academy Titans. The Huskers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Serena was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18.
Serena now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Illinois Math & Science Academy, their record is now 17-10.
Serena is on the road again on Tuesday to play Earlville at 6:30 p.m. As for Illinois Math & Science Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Somonauk on the 12th.
