Volleyball Recap: Vandercook Lake Takes a Loss

Vandercook Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jayhawks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-1.

Madison can attribute much of their success to Jazlyn Zaszczurynski, who had seven digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Zaszczurynski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Londyn Wallace, who had 12 digs.

Vandercook Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Vandercook Lake has already played their next match (against Manchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Madison, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Haslett on the 20th.
