After flying high against Ursuline Academy last Wednesday, Mount Notre Dame came back down to earth. Mount Notre Dame came up short against the Springboro Panthers on Monday, falling 11-2. Mount Notre Dame's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McKenna Manley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Grace Pitzer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Mount Notre Dame suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Springboro, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Notre Dame will take on Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springboro, they will head out to take on Waynesville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
