Softball Recap: Franklin Knights vs. Grove City Eagles
Franklin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grove City, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-6 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since April 15, 2024.
Jersey Swartz was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Swartz was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
