The Stevenson Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Pacific Grove Breakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Stevenson managed to slip by Monte Vista Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 8-1 to the Mustangs on Friday.

Pacific Grove couldn't beat St. Monica on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Breakers fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 7-6.

Brody Edmonds made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Issac Sanchez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Pacific Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Stevenson took their win against Pacific Grove in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 16-7 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Breakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
