Meanwhile, Chesapeake can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Southern as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Chesapeake's got stronger as the match went on, holding Southern to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.

Old Mill's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chesapeake, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Old Mill came out on top in a nail-biter against Chesapeake when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
