Baseball Recap: Eagle Takes a Loss

Eagle blew Borah out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Borah got their revenge. The Mustangs fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-1. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Stephen Egan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Eagle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Borah, their record now sits at 7-9.
