Basketball Recap: Tuscola Comes Up Short

Tuscola played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-45 loss at the hands of the East Henderson Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Tuscola's loss came despite strong showings from Ace Rogers and Bryce Ferguson. Rogers went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds, while Ferguson posted 12 points. Will Roberts also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

It was another big night for Caiden Brewer, who went 12 of 21 en route to 34 points in addition to seven assists and five steals for East Henderson. That makes it five consecutive games in which Brewer has scored at least a third of East Henderson's points. Jaden Evans was another key player, going 8 for 10 on his way to 16 points and six boards.

Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for East Henderson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Tuscola has already played their next contest, a 72-45 defeat against Pisgah on the 9th. As for East Henderson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-53 win against North Henderson on the 9th.
