Baseball Game Preview: Dunham Tigers vs. Zachary Broncos

The Dunham Tigers will challenge the Zachary Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dunham took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Hahnville.

Dunham got a great performance from Cole Richter as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Greene, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Josh Lim, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Dunham hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hahnville struck out six times.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Zachary). They were the clear victor by a 17-7 margin over Brother Martin on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Zachary pushed their record up to 8-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Dunham, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
