Softball Recap: Brownsburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Brownsburg waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Pendleton Heights Arabians as they made off with an 8-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Etta Schroering looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Brownsburg got a big performance out of Jocelyn Hornett, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave Hornett a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzly Larkin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Brownsburg's record is now 9-4. As for Pendleton Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Brownsburg will take on Lake Central in a tournament on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pendleton Heights, they will host Noblesville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Arabians' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Millers have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
