After losing to Carlsbad the last time they met, Clovis decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats won by a goal and slipped past the Cavemen/Cavegirls 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Clovis were the better team in the second half.

The win made it two in a row for Clovis and bumps their season record up to 4-12-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 4-11-3 Carlsbad and 8-9 Roswell. As for Carlsbad, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-3 record this season.
