There's no place like home for Cox, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Ocean Lakes Dolphins 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Cox's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Ocean Lakes are ranked 16th).

Cox now has a winning record of 3-2-5. As for Ocean Lakes, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cox will take on rival Tallwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ocean Lakes is set to square off against their familiar foe Kempsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
