Baseball Recap: Phoenix Christian Comes Up Short

Phoenix Christian managed to slip by Fountain Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Falcons on Thursday, falling 9-1. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Phoenix Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryne Viscum, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Phoenix Christian's loss dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Fountain Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season.

As for Fountain Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Falcons' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Spartans have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
